Performance
The art I create is inspired by the interconnectedness of things. I create performance experiences that come to life at the intersection of dance, theatre, poetry, film, and digital media design. I value collaboration as a central tenet of my creative process. The imagination of each new work is enriched by the talented creative artists I have the privilege to work with.
I am drawn to expansive subject matter, anchored in my ongoing interest in our relationship to land, the significance of place, the politics of identity and belonging, the importance of community, and the forgotten wisdom of the body. My perspective grows from my rural prairie roots and the profound effect remote, close-to-the-land living had on me as a child. Where I come from, space feels like a borderless landscape of possibility.
Today, I am decidedly philosophical, feminist, community-minded and socially conscious. I am a fierce advocate for positive social change and interested in the transformation of people and systems through embodied practice.
