“Leadership is our ability to respond generatively to what a moment is asking of us, in service of collective thriving.”

Leading Change

Engaging in creative practice beyond its art-making aims is an ongoing fascination of mine, no doubt because of its ability to create change. The creative principles and practices I work with regularly in the studio are also central to my work in leadership development, community development, and other social impact pursuits.

I lead action-based, on your feet, collaborative processes that model generative ways of relating and creating. These processes are grounded in values of inclusion, generosity and care. They help us develop deep listening skills, expand our capacity to observe and perceive, cultivate our ability to bring something into existence, to navigate systems, to adapt through iterative experimentation, and to become resilient in the face of the unknown.

I find this exciting because these are the fully human capabilities we need in order to thrive in a complex and emergent world. Cultivating embodied creative processes help bring into existence things the world needs, things that people need, in order to become healthier, more interconnected, equitable and resilient.
